Today we said goodbye to Lydia and Ana, the lovely hotel owners and sisters who made us feel so welcome and showed us and told us everything we needed to know about visiting Buenos Aires. We asked them lots of questions about their history and how the hotel came about. It was fascinating.
They were trully amazing and we would recommend the place to anyone visiting BA!!

Any and Lydia, the loveliest people in the world!
After saying our goodbye we took our dirty laundery to the launderette. Just thought you would like to know that.
We also visited a church in the area from which many people were kidnapped during the Dirty War. Lydia told us the interesting but sad and for her very emotional story of what happened. You can read more about it here.
Later in the day we went to La Recoletta cemetry which is huge and quite amazing! Each tomb is a work of art and its probably most famous for being the resting place of several famous people including Eva Peron.
Eva Peron’s resting place.
Quote of the day: a few Mancunian lads walked up to the Eva Peron tomb after taking a while to find it and said “I’m all Evitad out, thats enough culture for me”
Later in the evening we went out to dinner and drinks with a friend of mine Sebastian. He was born in Argentina and his family have been friends of my family since we have lived in the UK. We had great fun catching up, the food was tasty and overall a great evening and a great day!!
Me and the happy smilie Sebastian – sorry Seb – a bad pic of us.
Que lindo que se hayan podido encontrar y que les haya gustado tanto Buenos Aires, disfrutĂ© mucho de todo lo qhe han contado… besos
